I have been pretty occupied with work lately.
So here comes another “lazy” post.
It hurts me to look at it.
After a week of recovery, this week it tanked again.
What’s worse, I am not really sure what to do with it.
So I will continue to be an ostrich.
We had a team building event last week.
While it could be called a competition, it was a very casual one, because it quickly became clear that our performances heavily depended on the tool we got allocated.
The tools were supposed to be identically efficient.
They were not!
So the casual competition became even more casual.
Most of us did not care about winning at all.
The prize for winners were not attractive anyway.
Instead, we focused on interacting with our colleagues and having fun.
Whatever happens is the best arrangement!
I have heard this phrase so many times.
Very vaguely, I thought it might make sense, but definitely would be more for comforting people.
Recently, I think I might have found a way to explain it logically.
This is how balance is always restored, through frustrations.
I completed it! Yay!
Well, only the main storyline and only reached one of the endings…There are still tons of side quests left, even though I have completed so many.
I did not count, but I must have thrown in more than 100 hours easily.
Such a good way to kill time!
Overall, it is a great game and CDPR is still releasing patches and DLCs to make it better.
Better here really means closer to what they had promised before the release.
I probably wont play the 1.3 patch any time soon. I will try something different for now.
Today marks another milestone for this blog.
I have received the first payment of Ads revenue from Google, thanks to all your support!
Google has a threshold of SGD150 for the payment. Last month, I finally reached it and received the first payment in my account yesterday.
166 entries over the last 20 months since I started this blog.
I think that is worth celebrating.
The restrictions on pandemic were relaxed on 19th Aug. It is great to be able to see people again.
So a small group of us met for some work related discussions.
Another group was overseas, so we had to be on Teams also.
At one point, our phones were running out of batteries and we were taking turns to charge our phones using the one power bank available to us.
As the indicator light on the power bank turned red, the owner of the power bank said:
“I wish the battery tech could evolve soon to allow one full-day charge…
If you think this is a post advocating for healthy corporate culture, you are in for a treat! A relaxing one.
While my work continues allows me some free time and my portfolio continues burning, I continue spending a lot of time in gaming.
This time around, I really enjoyed Gujian 3, an ARPG based on ancient Chinese legends.
Just to be clear, while this game can pretty much represent the highest level of Chinese made single player games in 2018 when the game was release, it is still not quite on par with the 3A games out there in…
